Description
A is for Africa was one of my first alphabet letters and highlighted are an affectionate mother and baby giraffe. Male giraffes can weigh 3,000 pounds (1,360 kg.) and reach 18 feet (5.5 m.) in height. Females weigh 1,500 pounds (680 kg.) and are up to 14 feet (4.3 m.) tall. In the wild, they can live up to 25 years. Giraffes are the tallest land animal. Among the tall acacia trees, giraffes browse the grassy savannas and lightly-wooded regions of central, eastern, and southern Africa. The average giraffe eats 65 lbs. of foliage ever single day. Like cows, giraffes have four stomachs. Watercolor Prints come on archival watercolor paper with colorfast, UV safe ink, matted.
